Living in a modern city offers convenience and endless possibilities. However, it also demands hard work, fast-paced living, and smart thinking to keep up with the city’s hustle and bustle. Consequently, more people are experiencing stress-related health issues such as sleep deprivation and weight gain.

If you’re facing any health problems in Shenzhen, consider consulting Sergeikina Liudmila, a Russian health coach who provides effective personalized solutions online. Despite majoring in Chinese during university, Liudmila enrolled in an online course offered by the University of Medical Education in Moscow to become a certified health coach recognized by the European Coaching Association.

“Promoting a healthy lifestyle is my passion,” Liudmila shared with Shenzhen Daily. “When I first arrived in Shenzhen in 2019, I worked as a Russian teacher for some time, but now I’m pursuing my own career as a health coach. My job is to assist individuals with weight loss goals, overall well-being improvement, and better sleep quality,” she added.

Liudmila connects with her clients through social media platforms, where she shares instructions on healthy living and engages with them directly. “For instance, if someone approaches me seeking weight loss guidance, I will create a customized nutrition plan for them. In another case, one of my previous clients had trouble sleeping, which we successfully resolved over six months of dedicated efforts. Now, she’s doing fine! Assisting people in overcoming these challenges is what truly drives me,” Liudmila explained.

For Liudmila, the decision to relocate to Shenzhen was influenced by the city’s pleasant weather, beautiful ocean views, and ample sunshine — an ideal environment for someone committed to a healthy lifestyle.

Additionally, the city’s services for expats and foreign tourists have greatly impressed her.

Living in Bao’an District, Liudmila often takes walks at OH Bay. “I’m surprised by the multilingual signs at OH Bay, including Russian ones,” she exclaimed.

She also speaks highly of a WeChat group run by a local foreign language association, where volunteers promptly answer expats’ questions regarding hospitals and visa-related matters.

“They’re helping foreigners with any questions. One can just write to them,” she said.

In Shenzhen, a dynamic city brimming with opportunities and challenges, Liudmila feels optimistic about her business prospects. “Currently, I work online but I aspire to engage in something fascinating here in Shenzhen. Perhaps I could assist other foreigners in resolving their issues since many of them don’t speak Chinese; maybe even establish my own channel or organize events centered around healthy lifestyles and cooking.”
