As the Spring Festival approaches, citizens lift festive spirit buying fresh flowers at flower fairs and purchasing “nianhuo” at supermarkets, wholesale markets, gift stores and more.

Each district has designated venues for the Shenzhen Spring Festival Flower Fair.

Purchasing “nianhuo,” or New Year’s goods, is a traditional Chinese custom. To perpare for CNY, Chinese people usually shop for goods that are necessary for the festival, including different kinds of food, clothes, home appliances and ornaments.
