Bao'an District's GDP exceeds ¥520B in 2023

Bao’an District’s gross domestic product (GDP) in 2023 exceeded 520 billion yuan (US$72 billion), up 8.5% year on year, according to statistics released by the district’s statistics bureau Jan. 31.

The added value of the primary industry reached 87 million yuan, an increase of 4.7% year on year, while the added value of the secondary industry was 249.9 billion yuan, up 6.8% year on year, and the added value of the tertiary industry was 270.17 billion yuan, up 10.3% year on year.

In 2023, the total retail sales of consumer goods in Bao'an District reached 154.83 billion yuan, up 7.9% year on year.

In 2023, the completion of fixed asset investment in Bao'an District increased by 9.5% year on year. The district’s industrial investment grew rapidly last year, with a growth rate of 28.6%.
