A food feast was held today in Xiasha Cultural Square in Futian District to celebrate the Lantern Festival. The Xiasha Poon Choi Feast, Xiasha Village's traditional way to celebrate the festival, gathered over 10,000 people sharing sumptuous poon choi while watching splendid dragon lion and lion dances and other folk performances. The feast was listed as one of the provincial-level intangible cultural heritages in 2009. Numerous foreign visitors were drawn to a lantern festival fair at Sea World. The fair, organized by Zhaoshang Subdistrict, featured 17 booths offering complimentary food, arts, games, and cultural experiences. In addition, live music, a drone show, and fountain music shows captivated visitors and allowed them to enjoy the entertainment.
