Take a glimpse of Shenzhen’s Gangxia North Metro Station

Gangxia North Station is a Metro station in Futian District that is widely known for its unique design. Its new interchange atrium was put into use in October 2022, connecting lines 2, 10, 11, and 14.

Normally, Metro stations are pretty mundane and unexciting. However, Gangxia North Station has changed this and provides one of the most exciting indoor architecture designs in the city.

Complete with spiral ceiling in the atrium with circular glass windows that spill light into the concourse, the Metro station even has a designated area on the platform with designers telling the public where they can take the best selfie.

Photographers from all over the city know about this location and many come to this station to get their own photos. This station highlights another one of the many uplifts to Shenzhen’s Metro system.
