Longhua's seven key areas

Overview

Longhua District is accelerating the comprehensive development of seven key areas, including Shenzhen North Railway Station International Business District, Jiulongshan Digital City, Luhu Central Town, Longhua Super Commercial Area, Dalang Fashion Town, Guanlan Culture Town and Meilin Pass Area. These areas, covering an area of 104.62 square kilometers in total, are strategically designed to serve various purposes such as facilitating business exchanges, fostering industrial development, and providing public destinations for shopping and travel.


1. Shenzhen North Railway Station International Business District

The Shenzhen North Railway Station International Business District in Longhua District, one of the city's 21 key development areas, serves as a significant driver in empowering Shenzhen's development as a pilot demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics and a pivotal city within the Guangdong-Hong Kong Greater Bay Area (GBA). It also acts as an engine bolstering the development of the district, strategically located at the geographic center of Shenzhen.

In the future, it will emphasize its status as an urban gateway to bolstering the digital economy, headquarters economy and finance, technology, culture and other modern service industries.


2. Jiulongshan Digital City

The Jiulongshan Digital Cityin Longhua District is one of the 21 municipal key areas in Shenzhen. This area boasts Foxconn, Mindray Medical, Sunlord Electronics and other industry-leading enterprises.

In the future, the area willserve as a digital economy cluster led by intelligent manufacturingand a region hub for smart manufacturing and eco-technology city in the Guangdong, Hong Kong and MacaoGreater Bay Area(GBA) featuring the integration of industry, university and research(IUR). With focus on new-generation information technology and high-end equipment manufacturing, it will contribute to the development of a digital economy industrial system that combines AI(artificial intelligence),5G and Industrial Internet and boasts mature industrial chain as well as diversified business forms.


3. Luhu Central Town

With scenic nature environment, the Luhu Central Town is a comprehensive service center in Longhua District, integrating administrative, scientific, technological, cultural and everyday life services. It will be built into a world-class hub for high-end medical device industry, a demonstration area for the integrated development of biology technology and information technology. This endeavor will establish the area as a new economic driver in Northern Shenzhen, extending its influence to the central areas of both Shenzhen and Dongguan.


4. Longhua Super Business Circle

The Longhua Super Business Circle is an important part of Shenzhen's urban core area. Located on city's developmental axis, the area stands as one of most vibrant urban locale offering commercial and business services, entertainment options and high-end residences.

In the future, the business circle's functions in shopping, culture, leisure and international business will undergo further enhancements. With the aim of establishing the circle as a world-class consumption center, digital technologies will be leveraged to promote high-quality urban developmentand to foster emerging industries such as smart retailing, technology experienceand digital entertainment. Moreover, by utilizing vertical and underground spaces, we seek to achieve more efficient land use and resource allocation.


5. Dalang Fashion Town

The Dalang Fashion Town, one of the ten cultural characteristics blocks in Shenzhen, is established as a pilotfashion town in the world. The town has attracted well known fashion enterprises such as Marisfrolgand YINER, producing an annual output of tens of billions of dollars. The Dalang fashion town is widely-recognized by the industry.

In the future, the fashion town will boast headquartersof fashion enterprises, talent incubators and an fashion innovation, releasing and consumption center. This system aims build to build Dalang Fashion Town into a national hub for the dissemination of fashion culture and for women's wear.


6. Guanlan Culture Town

The Guanlan Cultural Characteristic Town is the only provincial cultural characteristic town in Shenzhen. It draws nutrients from various cultures, including terrestrial and marine cultures, GuangFu (Kwong Chau Department) and Hakka cultures, and agricultural and commercial cultures. Within its confines,  the area has preserved intangible cultural heritages such as Kylin Dance, Dragon Boat Race and Hakka Folk Songs, forming a diverse picture of Hakka, printmaking and rosewood culture. Several characteristic cultural blocks converge at the town, making it one of the important cultural calling cards of Shenzhen.

In the future, emphasis will be put on the cultural inheritance and innovative development of the culture town. Digital technology will be used in building an industrial system combining cultural tourism, creativity and ICT(information communication technology), so as to create a new cultural landmark in Shenzhen and a demonstration town of international digital culture.


7. Meilin Pass Area

Meilin Pass Area, situated in the middle of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Axis, plays an important role as a cornerstone of Shenzhen's digital economy. It will be built into a pilot area under Shenzhen’s framework as a global pioneer digital city and a demonstration urban area showcasing integrated industries characterized by cutting-edge administration and distinctive vibrancy.
