Milan-SZ fashion week opens in Futian

On the evening of March 16, the Milan-Shenzhen Twin Cities Fashion Week, part of the 2024 Shenzhen Fashion Week, kicked off its activities at the Futian venue with the theme "Sino-European Fashion Life Summit."

Futian District launched a series of investment promotions, attractions, and industry exchange activities at this event in collaboration with five major commercial districts in Shenzhen. Following the successful promotion of six Shenzhen brands during the Milan and Paris fashion weeks in February, the event will mark another milestone in international fashion exchange.

The opening show featured six major international brands from the U.S., Italy, and France, including VERA WANG, PINKO, bebe, Marie Elie, and PlaySERIOUS. The stage design created a "Spring Maple and Butterfly Dream" forest runway where maple leaves, butterflies, and cloud bottles resonated gracefully.

VERA WANG, a U.S. fashion house, is known as the first global brand to introduce the concept of "fashion" into bridal design and has maintained a leading position in the fashion industry to this day. It presented a spectacular bridal runway show at this event.

PINKO, an Italian high-end fashion brand, showcased its expertise in using top-notch Italian craftsmanship to interpret the qualities of women of all ages and personalities, with charming original styles and unique brand personalities. The runway show oscillated between classic and avant-garde, traditional and modern, showcasing the fearless beauty of women.

Bebe showcased contemporary charm in American women's wear, breaking stereotypes, and creating a new style for modern urbanites.

Originating from Paris, France, Marie Elie exudes ethereal beauty and fantasy, combining perfect craftsmanship with traditional handcrafting.

Established in 2015, Play SERIOUS selects global fashion boutique items. It selected Italian fashion brand Blumarine as the lead, along with Refuse Club, a new Chinese-style brand, showcasing its aim to shape the fashionable theme of women's exquisite urban life.

The opening show significantly boosted local consumption by bringing fashion into the commercial district and integrating it with business to create a trendy destination. Foot traffic at One Avenue increased by 51.6% year on year, with sales up by 48.63% on the same day.

In February 2024, Futian District, along with six major Shenzhen fashion brands including NEXY.CO, KAVON, CHLOSIO, La Koradior, YINER, and ELLASSAY, engaged in Milan and Paris fashion weeks. This marked the first time for Shenzhen fashion brands to collectively enter the official schedule of Milan Fashion Week, paving the way for mainland fashion brands to enter the official event schedule of Paris Fashion Week.

It is reported that Futian District will increase its support for the fashion industry, facilitate the link between domestic and foreign brands, promote domestic brands' overseas expansion, and actively build over 500,000 square meters of low-cost industrial space, awaiting the landing of fashion brands from home and abroad.
