An exhibition featuring the authentic works of Czech artist Alphonse Mucha is on display at the Sea World Culture and Arts Center in Shekou, Nanshan District.

This exhibition, titled "The Unreceding Wave", displays more than 220 works by Mucha, which includes posters, decorative prints, watercolors, sketches, and book illustrations, providing a complete overview of Mucha's creative career and influence.

The exhibition also links to the historical background of the 1900 Paris World Expo and reviews the modern world at the turn of the 20th century.

Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939) is one of the most important Czech artists and a representative figure of Art Nouveau. His creations involve posters, decorative paintings, book illustrations, clothing, jewelry, furniture, architecture, etc. Mucha's creations are inspired by nature and integrate artistic styles such as Ukiyo-e, Byzantine, Baroque, and Rococo to form his own unique style.

This exhibition focuses on Mucha's commercial artworks, such as "Gismonda" at the Théatre de La Renaissance in Paris, "Zodiac" posters, JOB cigarette paper advertisements, and "Four Seasons" decorative paintings.

The exhibition also displays a series of 19th-century European antique furniture, sculptures, and handicrafts, showing the overall outlook of Mucha's social life at that time.
