Qianhai Authority hosted an event Wednesday to introduce the internationalization model of Qianhai, marking the official debut of the Qianhai International Neighborhood.

The goal is to enhance the working and living environment for expatriates in Qianhai, fostering international business connections, resource integration, and innovative partnerships.

Spanning about 65,000 square meters, the neighborhood comprises a public square and eight buildings, including the Qianhai International Talent Hub and Qianhai Building.

In an effort to create a premier international business setting that is easily recognizable and accessible, Qianhai has tailored its approach to align with the city’s international block construction guidelines, integrating the unique characteristics of Qianhai. The area has transitioned from a general block layout to distinct communities, enabling a higher level of detailed attention and forming a cohesive micro-ecosystem. Attention to detail has been key, with enhancements like bilingual signage on roads, sidewalks, and building exteriors within the model area, totaling 839 signs and ensuring bilingual displays across the community.

In addition to upgrading international signage, Qianhai has also improved international government services, education, and medical facilities to support expatriates within the neighborhood.

On the same day, the HiQianhai International Roadshow concentrated on showcasing international services in Qianhai, with participation from organizations like the Qianhai International Hospital and international schools presenting their services.

To facilitate international integration within Shenzhen’s economic and social fabric, Qianhai established the Qianhai International Volunteer Service Team, comprising over 150 foreign volunteers with diverse expertise who engage in public welfare initiatives. This initiative aims to enrich cultural exchanges and deepen international talents’ involvement in Shenzhen.

Preceding the official launch, a captivating session featuring classic literature readings by Shenzhen Global Communication Ambassadors in their native languages captivated the audience.

The event was captured by Shenzhen Daily photographer Liu Xudong.
