CSG's tech marvels shine at China Brand Day

China Southern Power Grid (CSG) unveiled a range of cutting-edge technologies at China Brand Day 2024, which was held in Shanghai from May 10 to 14, emphasizing technology, environmental protection, and energy efficiency.
A standout feature was their MaaS artificial intelligence innovation platform, a pioneering development in the power industry. This platform, touted as the most advanced self-designed AI innovation platform in the sector, catalyzes digital technology advancements, bolstering the support for digital power grids in constructing new power systems.
The Kunliulong DC Project stands out as China’s inaugural ultra-high voltage multi-terminal DC demonstration project, flaunting numerous global accolades in power technology. Achieving a self-reliance rate of 100% for its main equipment, this project marks milestones in ultra-high voltage flexible DC applications, redefining industry standards worldwide.
Additionally, the Pumped Storage Energy Project in Yangjiang, operational since May 2022, boasts a total installed capacity of 2.4 million kilowatts across two stations. This initiative promises substantial energy savings and carbon dioxide emission reductions, setting a sustainable precedent for cleaner power generation.
Noteworthy innovations like the Baotang Energy Storage Station in Foshan, and the Nankun Power Device exemplify CSG’s commitment to innovative solutions. From underwater cable inspection advancements to large-scale energy storage installations, their initiatives aim to enhance energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
Meanwhile, initiatives like the Nest Building for Bird Protection and safeguarding sea turtles with electricity underscore CSG’s holistic approach towards ecological preservation. By fostering biodiversity and leveraging technology for conservation efforts, they contribute significantly to environmental protection in their operational regions, ensuring a harmonious balance between progress and nature.
