The highly anticipated 20th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) opens today, featuring its main venue in Bao’an and 52 parallel subvenues across various districts.
Among them, the subvenue at the Art Design Center in Luohu District stands out with its diverse exhibitions and workshops tailored for visitors and art enthusiasts alike.
For the 19th consecutive year, the Art Design Center is serving as an ICIF subvenue. This year’s theme, “Artistic Life and Imagination,” brings together enterprises to host seven events, including exhibitions on original designs, digital media, and abstract art. The center also features a market selling various cultural and creative products and offers public workshops on the traditional craft of bamboo basket weaving.
“There are three main highlights of this subvenue: an international trading platform for art products, three themed art exhibitions featuring original designs, and an art market promoting intangible cultural heritage items,” Peng Yanhua, director of the Liaison Department at the center, told the media. “The essence of the ICIF lies in cultural industry transactions, which is also a key responsibility of the Art Exhibition Center as a subvenue,” she added.
An international procurement conference was held alongside the subvenue’s opening ceremony Monday. Home decoration companies such as Digao, T-living, and Castilian signed contracts with both domestic and international traders at the conference.
“We invited targeted customers to showcase our designs and products. These new orders have injected fresh momentum into our company’s development and laid a solid foundation for future market expansion,” shared Zhang Liang, president of Castilian China.
According to Zhang, his company has received purchase orders from Vietnam, Indonesia, Dubai, and other countries, with the volume of overseas orders increasing by 40%.
Zhao Jie, general manager of T-living, praised the business environment in Luohu District, which has attracted many home decoration and art companies, including T-living, to the Art Exhibition Center.
