Themed on “The Chinese Path to Modernization and New Cultural Missions,” the two-day forum consists of a main forum and eight subforums. The subforums cover topics like literary and artistic creation, omnimedia communication, cultural heritage protection, the innovative development of the cultural industry, publishing talent training, high-quality development of the film industry, high-quality development of cultural trade, and the construction of a culturally advanced Greater Bay Area.
Representatives from universities, think tanks, and cultural enterprises will converge to exchange insights on emerging opportunities and challenges and offer suggestions on embracing new cultural missions in the new era.
During Thursday’s forum, Zhao Tingyang, a member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, expounded on the imperative mission and profound significance of inter-civilizational dialogue. He said in the forthcoming era of civilization, tradition will find itself being guided by the future rather than propelling it forward. (SD News)
