Pingshan Pavilion shines at ICIF

The Pingshan Pavilion at the 20th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) opened May 23 with a lively kylin dance show at Hall 15 of the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center in Bao’an District.

The dynamic dance, known for its exceptional skills and profound cultural significance, captivated fairgoers. Some foreign visitors commended the performance for its ability to convey the rich essence of Chinese and Shenzhen culture. The Pingshan kylin dance has been recognized as a provincial-level intangible cultural heritage.

During the ICIF running through May 27, Pingshan is holding five promotional events and over 40 cultural activities at its 405-square-meter pavilion, showcasing the district’s latest achievements in the cultural industry, especially in the theater sector.

With the theme “watch excellent shows in Pingshan,” the pavilion offers visitors an immersive “open theater” experience, inviting them to delve into and appreciate the theater culture and industry of Pingshan. The pavilion’s design intricately mirrors the lush mountains and rivers in Pingshan, showcasing the district’s picturesque landscape, abundant ecological resources, tourism appeal, and vibrant art and creativity.

With the theme “watch excellent shows in Pingshan,” the Pingshan Pavilion offers visitors an immersive “open theater” experience and its design also mirrors the lush mountains and rivers in Pingshan.

Focusing on the theater, TV and film sectors, the pavilion has brought together four industrial parks, 11 cultural organizations and eight cultural companies for the fair, showcasing over 200 cultural and creative products. Renowned entities include Shenzhen Technology University, Pingshan Media Center, Pingshan Library, Pingshan Theater, Pingshan Art Museum, Longma Studio, BYD, Shenzhen Comix Group, Z&F Cultural Construction, and Shenzhen Mabell Animation Culture Development Co. Ltd.

Displaying Pingshan’s economic, social, and cultural achievements, the exhibition boards showcase the district’s forward-thinking and futuristic outlook. Various materials such as a cultural and tourism map, 10 travel itineraries, five distinct industrial tourism routes, and accounts of cultural initiatives in schools, universities, communities, and industrial zones illustrate Pingshan’s spirit of innovation.

An exhibition board spotlighting Pingshan’s theater industry, featuring prominent entities such as Z&F Cultural Construction, Poly Theater Management, Longma Studio, Pingshan Theater, and others, signifies the district’s robust development trajectory in this sector.

During the ICIF, Pingshan will introduce 20 projects, including the Jiangling Changshou Theater Valley initiative and Pingshan Science, Technology and Culture Center, underscoring its commendable cultural industry environment.
