A: Why did Bob fire Jane? I think she’s quite efficient for a salesperson.

B: Bob fired her because she wouldn’t dress sexy. That doesn’t sit well with me.

Note: “To sit well with” means “acceptable” to one’s values or sensibilities. While “not sit well with” shows a feeling of uneasiness with a situation, as if someone is sitting on the edge of an uncomfortable seat. For example: Some aspects of my proposal didn’t sit well with them, but I assured them that things could be changed to accommodate their preferences.
