Bao'an District recently unveiled its low-altitude economic industry public service center, the first of its kind in the district, as well as its UAV system application test base, as reported by Bao'an Daily.
A launching ceremony of the service center and test base was held at Dachan Bay Blue Future Technology Park on May 6.
Located within Dachan Bay Blue Future Technology Park, the service center covers approximately 17,800 square meters and represents an investment exceeding 69 million yuan (US$9.56 million).
The design of the service center includes a low-altitude economic industry planning exhibition hall, a low-altitude aircraft exhibition hall, a low-altitude flight dispatch center, an aircraft waiting area, and take-off and landing fields. Presently, more than 10 companies have shown interest in establishing a presence within the center.
The test base, located at the Yanchuan Community of Yanluo Subdistrict, has received investment of nearly 5 million yuan in total.
Its first phase includes facilities such as two 20-meter-diameter rotary-wing UAV take-off and landing fields, one 30-meter-diameter rotary-wing UAV take-off and landing field, as well as outdoor charging stations and UAV test tracks.
Anticipated to address the flight testing challenges faced by UAV enterprises, the test base aims to drive the growth of UAV enterprises across Bao'an District.
In recent years, Bao'an has vigorously promoted the low-altitude economy, leading the city in hosting a conference to encourage low-altitude economic investments and issuing 10 measures to support the development of the low-altitude economic industry. Additionally, the district introduced the country’s first urban air mobility operation demonstration center.
