'Gaby Deslys’

Hailing from Shanghai, the Zi De Guqin Studio challenges conventional notions about traditional Chinese instruments with their harmonies echoing contemporary music. Dressed in ancient Chinese costumes on stage, reminiscent of characters from Chinese scroll paintings, the ensemble will present traditional Chinese musical pieces at a concert.

A melodic fusion of romance and folk music
This Friday evening, conducted by Lin Daye, the artistic director of the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, the orchestra will perform folk music-inspired works by the late Chinese composer Su Xia, along with two piano concertos in A minor by Edvard Grieg and Robert Schumann.
