The 12th China Acrobatic Golden Chrysanthemum Award National Magic and Burlesque Competition kicked off Tuesday at Shenzhen Happy Valley theme park in Nanshan District and will continue until June 22.

The China Acrobatic Golden Chrysanthemum Award is held every three years. This prestigious national arts award is a joint effort between the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the China Acrobats Association and is recognized as the highest honor in the Chinese acrobatics field with significant influence both locally and internationally.

The competition includes 10 awards for acrobatic performances, seven for magic shows, and three for burlesque acts. Shenzhen Happy Valley is the designated venue for the magic and burlesque categories, with 24 magic acts and nine burlesque performances making it to the finals.

This is the fifth time that Shenzhen Happy Valley has hosted the China Acrobatic Golden Chrysanthemum Award competitions, being the exclusive China Magic Culture Creative Industry Base approved by the China Acrobats Association.
