An event marking the initiation of the industrial park featuring sci-tech education was held at the plaza Monday. Co-hosted by the Futian education bureau, Shenzhen Kaifa Technology Co. and Duojing Capital, the event drew over 140 participants. A total of 16 companies, including iFLYTEK, Yuanfudao, and Hivac Technology Group, inked agreements to establish their presence in the park, collectively valued at over 3 billion yuan (US$413.4 million). This move is poised to further bolster sci-tech education within Futian.

A diverse range of AI-driven technological creations, such as an intelligent calligraphy assistant, Make X robots, and an ecology educational game, designed by local students from 10 schools, were prominently exhibited at the event.

Zhang Yuanhang, an eighth-grade student at Yuanling Middle School, shared with Shenzhen Daily about their weekly robotics class, supported by a curriculum designed by their teacher, Li Mao.

Another student, Liu Qihang, a collaborator on a robot that clinched second place in the VEX IQ Competition Slapshot during the 2023 World Robot Contest Championship, expressed profound appreciation for the school's robotics program.

He highlighted the satisfaction derived from assembling components. Discovering the school's robot design and manufacturing class fueled by computer software, he eagerly immersed himself in the subject, even joining an after-school club to delve deeper into the craft.

Futian has strongly committed to integrating tech education into schools. With the establishment of the sci-tech education industrial park, the district is poised to bolster tech education standards significantly. Notably, there are plans to introduce comprehensive AI education across the entire district, underscoring Futian's progressive stance toward technological literacy and innovation.
