Yaoshi Lithium begins solid-state battery trial production

Pingshan-based Yaoshi Lithium Battery Technology Co. Ltd. has recently started the trial production of high-density solid-state lithium-ion batteries, marking an important step for the company in research, development and industrialization of new solid-state batteries.

Yaoshi’s trial production line of high-density solid-state lithium-ion batteries is an advanced production line for consumer solid-state batteries in China, with key equipment jointly developed by Yaoshi Lithium and suppliers. Kunpeng Capital has provided capital support for the production.

The solid-state lithium-ion cell system, developed by domestic scientific research institutes, enables a revolutionary enhancement in battery performance with high energy, high safety, high-temperature durability, and low-temperature resilience. As global demand for new energy continues to grow, the development of high-safety and high-density solid-state batteries has become a worldwide focus, which will profoundly impact the existing energy storage industry. 

Pingshan District is accelerating the development of new quality productive forces, with the new energy storage industry as a key focus of strategic emerging industrial development. The district has built a solid foundation for developing the new solid-state battery industry. In recent years, Pingshan has gathered over 300 new energy storage companies including BYD, Yaoshi Lithium, and Capchem, covering the entire supply chain of the industry, from battery materials to cell modules, control systems, system integration, components, and production equipment.

Pingshan has also built a new energy storage industrial park with high-rise vertical factories, providing nearly a million square meters of industrial space tailored to the needs of the industry. This will offer sufficient high-quality industrial space for premium companies and projects.
