X-Lake Sciensity plans to form low-carbon development model by 2025

The X-Lake Sciensity plans to form a green and low-carbon development model featuring improved ecological environment quality, enhanced urban ecosystem service function, and better energy and resource utilization efficiency, by the year 2025, according to a management list released recently.

Issued by the Nanshan District Government, the list centers on environmental management requirements and will come into effect on August 1, with a validity period of five years.

Located in the northern part of Nanshan District, X-Lake Sciensity covers an area of approximately 69.8 square kilometers.

In terms of industrial access, it is clearly stated that the region will focus on introducing projects in the fields of artificial intelligence, high-end equipment, and precision medicine, and introducing environmentally friendly projects that are in line with the leading industry development plan, pollution-free or light pollution, low-energy consumption, and low-emission.

In addition, specific requirements and measures are listed for pollution emission control, including control on water pollution, air pollution, noise pollution, and soil and groundwater pollution.

According to the list, suggestions for key area control include strengthening the planning and construction of low-carbon buildings, green transportation, and carbon sinks.
