A tourism promotion conference was held by the Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone of Shenzhen (Qianhai Authority) in Qianhai on July 30 to further boost tourism exchanges and cooperation between Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Zhongshan.

During the event, five organizations, including the  Shenzhen Tourism Association, Zhongshan Tourism Association,  Zhongshan Association of Travel Services, Hong Kong Association of China Travel Organizers, and Hong Kong Professional Tourist Guides General Union, signed a memorandum of cooperation.

Ann Yu Lihua, chairman of the Hong Kong Professional Tourist Guides General Union, signs a cooperation agreement with a representative of the Qianhai International Talent Hub.

The goal of the deal is to seize the opportunity brought by the opening of the Shenzhong Link, establish a novel cooperation framework for tourism between Hong Kong, Qianhai, and Zhongshan, create distinctive cross-regional tourism routes, and achieve mutual exchange of tourists, resource sharing, and branding.

The deal has allowed Hong Kong Professional Tourist Guides General Union to become the first tourism association organization from Hong Kong and Macao tosettle in Qianhai.

Qianhai boasts 68 kilometers of coastline, abundant tourism resources, and complete urban infrastructure, making it well-suited to become an optimal tourist destination, according to the Qianhai Authority.

Qianhai will further strengthen its ties with Hong Kong and Zhongshan, make full use of relevant policies and the business environment, and provide more convenience and bettertourism services, the Qianhai Authority said.

Liu Guoqiang, vice president of the Shenzhen Tourism Association, said that the conference has provided a platform for tourism cooperation among Shenzhen, Zhongshan, and Hong Kong, and will play a positive role in promoting tourism exchange and cooperation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The  event also showcased key cultural tourism projects in Qianhai,  including Shekou Cruise Homeport, K11 ECOAST, and Huafa Snow World.
