Q1: When I registered in Shenzhen, why is the IP address of registration displayed in the system not in Shenzhen?
A: The IP address is based on the location of the IP on your device (computer or phone). If the geographical location of your current device is in Shenzhen, but the IP address is not in Shenzhen, it may be that you have used a VPN in another region or the IP of the operator has drifted, you can try to restart the device or contact us by contact@sciencecores.com.
Q2: When accessing the full-text literature resources, the page prompts "Sorry, the current page only supports Shenzhen registered users to access"?
A: Due to copyright restrictions on the foreign language database now online, only users registered in Shenzhen can download the full text for free. We will record your IP location when you register the account. If you are not in Shenzhen when you registered the account, you cannot download the resources of the existing databases at present. Thank you for your understanding.
Q3: Why are some papers searchable on the website but not downloadable?
A: At present, the downloadable full-text papers are provided by four major journal databases purchased by the ITIC and Expanded Resources. The Expanded Resources include 290 million OA (open-access) bibliographic records from journal and conference papers. Those searchable but not downloadable ones are mainly non-OA resources. Thank you for your understanding.
Q4: Why are some of the literature resources of purchased databases still not available for being downloaded and need to pay for additional purchase/cost?
A: The ITIC has not covered all the resources in the databases, and some resources have not been downloadable due to copyright reasons. You can go to the database homepage to see the specific purchased journals of each literature database. If the text you searched is not included, you will still need to pay for download.
Q5: Why is there no response when clicking on "Access Portal" and unable to redirect to the database website?
A: This issue might be due to browser incompatibility. Some browsers may have compatibility problems (e.g., IE, 2345 Browser, QQ Browser, Apple's default browser, etc.). It is recommended to use Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
