Located in the Qianwan Area of the Qianhai Cooperation Zone, the hospital has been built to Grade-A tertiary general hospital standards. With a total investment of 5 billion yuan (US$697.5 million) and a gross floor area of 220,000 square meters, it boasts nearly 50 departments and a planned capacity of 1,100 medical beds.
The hospital has recruited a team of nearly 50 academic leaders, with more than 60% from university-affiliated hospitals and nearly 80% holding postgraduate supervisor qualifications.
This talented pool supports nearly 50 clinical and medical technology disciplines, with initial emphasis on key disciplines such as gastroenterology, orthopedics and sports medicine, urology and andrology, oncology, and neurology, as well as specialized disciplines like health management, dentistry, and plastic and aesthetic dermatology.
Offering both public and commercial insurance settlement options, the hospital is applying for medical insurance qualification and expects to obtain it in October.
Qianhai has prioritized the development of the medical sector. By introducing innovative measures such as rolling out supportive policies, initiating international accreditation, establishing Hong Kong-funded wholly-owned hospitals, and building international community health centers, it has enhanced its medical service standards and promoted cross-border medical integration and international development between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
