Nestled in the heart of Bao’an’s Xixiang subdistrict, Tiezai Mountain Park offers a tranquil retreat with 10 easily accessible entrances.
Climbing to its modest 204-meter peak is a breezy 30-minute hike, with a choice of slightly steep steps or a leisurely mountain trail. There, visitors can bask in the crisp mountain air and panoramic sunset views over the adjacent sea.
At the top, visitors can discover public facilities such as a spacious viewing deck with sweeping sea views to the southwest and views of Bao’an’s urban landscape to the southeast. Equipped with binoculars, observers can track traffic on the Shenzhong Link and watch planes gracefully take off from the airport in Bao’an.
As dusk falls, visitors are encouraged to head to the southwestern edge of the park or the mountaintop to watch the spectacular sunset over the sea. These popular spots are magnets for crowds eager to capture nature’s exquisite display.
Exploring the park reveals scenic wonders: viewing platforms, pavilions, cliffs and a butterfly-filled valley, each with its own unique charm. Over 100 ancient tombs, spanning from the Eastern Jin (317-420) to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), dot the park, combining natural charm with historical significance.
