Guangming District has recently unveiled a food map, guiding food lovers through its vibrant culinary landscape by highlighting local food streets, signature dishes, and renowned restaurants.

Mobile phone users can follow the WeChat account “深圳光明” (ID: aiszgm) and then send a text message “地图” to receive the district’s food map, along with maps of coffee shops, hotels, scenic spots, sports venues, and running trails.

Jingkou Food Street 迳口美食街

Nestled in the Jingkou Community, Guangming Subdistrict, the street is renowned for its variety of local specialties. From roasted pigs and pigeons to sweet corn and cow colostrum, it offers something delectable for every palate, ensuring visitors of all ages to find their favorites.

Happy Commune 欢乐公社

Located at the intersection of Guangqiao Road and Loucun Village 1st Road, the food street features a diverse array of dining options, including hot pot, roasted chicken, desserts, and specialty farmhouse dishes. This vibrant locale blends modern cultural elements with local flavors, providing visitors and families with pleasant shopping, entertainment, and dining experiences.

As a multifunctional hub near Hongqiao Park, this place offers an array of dining experiences, including music bars and hot pot restaurants. Changzhen Yes Market 长圳民生夜市

Known as Guangming’s largest “midnight canteen,” this bustling food haven on Changzhen Road boasts over 100 meters of food stalls offering a diverse range of culinary delights. With flexible activity spaces and a vibrant community stage, it’s an ideal venue for locals to eat, socialize, and enjoy the lively urban atmosphere.

Gongming Night Walking Street 公明夜色烟火步行街

Home to more than 30 authentic food stalls, this lively area in Gongming Subdistrict allows visitors to savor the authentic flavors of Guangzhou and Chaoshan area while enjoying picturesque night views.

WA Food Street WA 围岸食街

Situated in the Daweishahe Industrial Zone, this container-style night market combines food, entertainment, and a shopping experience, creating a dynamic evening atmosphere for residents. The street features a tempting selection of specialties from across the nation, including beef hot pot and Chongqing stone pot fish.

Old Sugar Factory Cultural and Creative Park 旧糖厂文创园

Once the largest sugar manufacturing base in Shenzhen, the old Sugar Factory has been transformed into a cultural hub. It features a blend of nostalgia and innovation, housing eateries, coffee shops, and photography studios while preserving its historical significance.


‘Three Treasures of Guangming’

Guangming roasted pigeon:Famous for its careful selection and preparation, this dish features young pigeons known for their crispy skin and tender, juicy flavor.

Guangming sweet corn: Known for its rich nutrition, it’s a favorite among locals.

Guangming cow colostrum:Valued for its rich nutritional value, this milk is collected within 72 hours after a cow gives birth.

The map also introduces Gongming Sausage, celebrated for its unique taste and traditional preparation techniques, and Chenguang Dairy, renowned for its high-quality dairy products, including pasteurized milk and yogurt.

Guangming District’s sports map showcases tailored sports routes that cater to diverse interests, including cycling, hiking, rock climbing, skateboarding, and water sports. The routes link vital ecological paths, contributing to a scenic environment for outdoor activities.

The running routes incorporate key parks and natural features, such as Hudi Mountain Park and Maozhou River Greenway, showcasing spaces for both casual joggers and seasoned athletes to enjoy the region’s vibrant scenery.


Route highlights:

A 20-km route on the map links Hongqiao Park, Dadingling Greenway, Guangming Lake, and Guangming Fun Farm, allowing runners to experience the district’s unique blend of nature and city life.

A 10-km route offers runners an opportunity to enjoy popular sites along the Maozhou River and nearby urban parks, perfect for those with moderate running experience.

Meanwhile, a 5-km route, ideal for beginners, is designed around community parks, enabling residents to engage in jogs with ease. Other notable routes include a scenic 6-km run through Hongqiao Park and a 6.7-km waterside journey along Maozhou River.

The map showcases 14 types of sports activities, ranging from hiking to water sports, across various terrains, emphasizing the rich landmarks in Guangming, such as Hongqiao Park and the scenic views of Apoji Mountain. Notable landmarks marked on the map include a youth soccer training base, a cycling base, the Guangming Grand View Garden horseback riding field, and community sports centers.

More than just a guide, the map signifies Guangming’s commitment to promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle. With clearly marked icons for activities like horseback riding and rock climbing, residents and visitors can easily embrace the district’s sporting spirit.
