Digital service providers catering to local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will receive a maximum subsidy of 10 million yuan, according to a funding plan released in the latest edition of government gazette.

The program was designed to cultivate high-quality digital service providers that could facilitate the digital transformation of local SMEs in a digital age.

According to the funding plan, digital service providers for SMEs include comprehensive service providers and non-comprehensive service providers. Comprehensive service providers are defined as digital service providers with strong capabilities in resource integration, system integration, and ecological collaboration. Niche service providers refer to those that possess deep industry knowledge and well-developed digital service capabilities in specific subsectors, or have strong digital service capabilities in specific links or scenarios such as business management, research and development design, production manufacturing, warehousing logistics, and operational support services.

For qualified comprehensive service providers, the proposed support amount will be determined based on their evaluation scores, which will be divided into four levels, with maximum support amounts of up to 1 million, 3 million, 5 million, and 10 million yuan for each level of comprehensive service providers. For niche service providers to be rated into levels, the maximum support amounts for each level will be up to 500,000, 1 million, 3 million, and 5 million yuan, respectively, based on their evaluation scores.
