The cast, consisting of talented dancers from Shenzhen Opera and Dance Theater, delivered a flawless performance that showcased their dedication and skill. Their seamless integration of Wing Chun techniques into dance routines left the audience in awe, as they witnessed the beauty and power of this unique art form.

Throughout the performance, the audience was treated to a visual feast, with elaborate sets and costumes reflecting traditional Chinese culture. The use of modern lighting and projection techniques added a contemporary touch to the production.

After the final curtain call, the cast and crew were greeted with a rousing standing ovation, as audience members praised the show’s creativity, energy, and cultural significance. Many attendees expressed their excitement at experiencing such a unique and inspiring performance.

“It's a combination of dance and martial arts and deep in the heart of an ancient civilization. And it's lovely for us to see the beauty of the dancing, but also the skill, the refinement, and the taste,” said Sir Sherard Louis Cowper-Coles, chairman of China-Britain Business Council (CBBC).

“The body movement was so simple, but so effective. I loved it. Thank you so much Shenzhen,” said Peter Burnett, chief executive of the CBBC, adding that he would consider watching the dance drama a second time.

Farooq Chaudhry, a renowned dance producer who has played a significant role in shaping the British dance scene, praised the dance drama, saying it is a work that Chinese people should be very proud of.

“As well as seeing the reconnection to the Chinese roots, there’s a lot of innovation. It’s presented in a new way to us. That’s very exciting,” said Christopher Bannerman, professor of dance and head of the School of Dance at Middlesex University.
