

Exhibition unfolds golden art feast

The 5th 'Witches Feast' is an innovative and immersive art fair that launched in Nanshan Sea World Culture and Arts Center from Aug. 30 to Sep. 1. Each of the previous feasts has its own theme, background setting, and a matching color tone. The theme of 2024 is Mysterious Treasure, and the designated color tone are yellow, gold and black.

Visitors are welcome to explore, draw, read, shop, and engaging in role-play with various identities within the exhibition. In accordance with exhibition’s dress code for attire, attendees should dress in costumes that align with the theme color.

The artist Chen Zuer, as the creator of the exhibition's theme and curator of the ‘Witches Feast’ series of art exhibitions, was born in Shenzhen. She went to study in France at the age of 14 and graduated from ESAG Penninghen, a prestigious art and design school in Paris, with dual master's degrees in design and curation.

From red, blue, green, to gold, the "Witches Feast" art exhibition has been successfully held in Shenzhen for five editions since 2018. The next exhibition is expected to be launched in Shenzhen again with a brand new color theme in a year's time.

Pass by different booths at the exhibition, visitor can find a variety of golden art pieces arranged on the tables, such as posters, albums, postcards, stickers, and acrylic hanging decorations. Among them, particularly eye-catching art works are the storybooks created in the form of notes, with intriguing events, excellent storytelling and hand-drawn illustrations that can take readers back to the vibe of their childhood.
