New music fountain offers delightful experience

A new music fountain has become a popular spot in Pingshan District Central Park, attracting residents and tourists alike who seek a relaxing atmosphere and a picturesque setting for nighttime photography. 

The fountain features dazzling light and water displays accompanied by a variety of soothing and energetic melodies, creating a mesmerizing ambiance. Families gather to enjoy the spectacle, while couples take advantage of the romantic backdrop for their photos. 

Built in 2007, the square housing the fountain covers more than 20,000 square meters, serving as a beloved community gathering spot for various activities and fitness.

In February this year, the Urban Management and Law Enforcement Bureau of Pingshan District renovated the square. The fountain now connects with the newly built dry stream in the park and the Songzikeng Reservoir to the east, blending ecology with landscape design.

In addition, a camping site in the park offers an idyllic retreat from the city’s hustle and bustle. Parkgoers can also check out an array of nearby cultural venues outside the park, such as the Pingshan Art Museum, Pingshan Library and Pingshan Theater.

Music fountain hours: 8-8:30 p.m. (weekends, holidays from April to September); 7:30-8 p.m. (weekends, holidays from October to March); the hours are subject to change.
