Under the plan, the total installed BIPV capacity in new projects within the pilot areas must reach at least 1.25 million kilowatts by the end of this year. By the end of 2025, new industrial parks in these areas should implement distributed photovoltaic power generation, with new public organization rooftop PV generating no less than 50% of their energy. The total installed BIPV capacity in these pilot areas is expected to reach at least 1.75 million kilowatts by the end of 2025, and 2 million by the end of 2026.

Pingshan has established a comprehensive new energy industrial chain, advancing the construction of photovoltaic, energy storage, and charging infrastructure. For instance, the Shenzhen New Energy Storage Industrial Park features a high-rise vertical factory designed to foster Pingshan’s growing energy storage industry cluster.

Pingshan is home to numerous new energy and charging companies, including BYD, Capchem, Shenzhen S.C., Manst, Woer, Laplace, Ebusbar, and Qiji, covering various sectors such as new energy equipment, battery materials, cell modules, control systems, and more. Currently, 25 supercharging stations have been installed across Pingshan.

Distributed photovoltaic power generation plays a significant role in enhancing Pingshan’s energy-resource structure while promoting energy savings and industrial development. Pingshan is actively promoting the application of integrated photovoltaic, storage, and charging solutions in newly built advanced manufacturing parks, public buildings, linear engineering projects, and other initiatives tailored to local conditions.

As of the end of August 2024, the total installed photovoltaic capacity in Pingshan this year stood at 18.55 megawatts. A total of 70.07 megawatts of photovoltaic systems have been already in place.
