The number of newly recognized “little giant” enterprises represents a 36% year-on-year increase, bringing the total number of national-level specialized and innovative “little giant” enterprises in Pingshan to 41.

In February, 71 small and micro enterprises in Pingshan were upgraded as “industrial enterprises above designated size” — those with annual revenue from their principal business of over 20 million yuan. In April, four companies were recognized as national manufacturing champions, followed by the recognition of five provincial champions in July. In September, 185 companies were recognized as city-level innovative small and medium-sized enterprises.

To qualify as a specialized and innovative "little giant," a company must meet specific criteria, such as an average revenue or net profit growth rate of over 10% over the past three years, a debt-to-asset ratio not exceeding 70%, and a leading market share either nationally or within the top three in the province. The newly recognized and re-evaluated “little giant” enterprises in Pingshan cover a range of industries, including new energy, smart manufacturing, biotechnology, and integrated circuits.

Pingshan emphasize the importance of nurturing enterprises by providing essential services. The district has hosted numerous policy briefings, training sessions, and other activities to assist companies with their applications. The district aims to implement more favorable policies and services to cultivate more “little giants,” fostering sustainable high-quality development in Pingshan.
