Explore SZ's new hidden gem: A 'roller-coaster boardwalk' in woods

Writer: Lin Jianping  |  Editor: Zhang Zhiqing  |  From: Shenzhen Daily  |  Updated: 2024-09-12

Nestled along the banks of the Dasha River is an enchanting “roller-coaster boardwalk” in the woods, offering a unique stroll through nature.

Spanning 13.7 kilometers, the Dasha River Ecological Corridor in Nanshan District charms visitors with lush greenery in the middle section. Deep within the woods near the Zhuguang Station, a boardwalk gracefully winds through the forest like a roller coaster, disappearing effortlessly into the foliage.

Two scenic platforms extend from the boardwalk, inviting visitors to pause and take in the endless greenery and indulge in nature’s bounty.

Despite its length, a stroll along the boardwalk takes a leisurely 10 minutes. A spiral wooden staircase at the center of the walkway, reminiscent of a forest fairy tale, gently brings you back to ground level.

Walking or cycling along the boardwalk has become a cherished daily routine for local residents. Join us on a tour through the lens of Shenzhen Daily photographer Lin Jianping and enjoy the tranquility and beauty this place has to offer.
