More than 200 domestic and international aerial vehicle companies are showcasing their new products, cutting-edge technologies, and latest solutions at the 2024 Shenzhen eVTOL Industry Development Conference and Low-Altitude Economy Exhibition.

The exhibition, running Sept. 23-25 at the Yanzi Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center in Pingshan District, serves as a platform for cooperation and exchange among industries, academia, research institutions, and markets, injecting vitality into Shenzhen's high-quality development of the low-altitude economy.

Divided into several themed zones — focusing on eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) vehicles, applications, power systems, avionics, materials, and electric motor control — the exhibition emphasizes fields such as urban low-altitude logistics, new urban transportation, manned aerial vehicle, and unmanned aerial vehicle. It explores various aspects of eVTOL, including research and development (R&D), design, manufacturing, airworthiness certification, flight control, avionics, and materials.

Visitors can admire a wide range of aerial vehicles and models from companies like Ehang, EVT, Xpeng Aeroht and Beifly, and experience the futuristic vehicles at the exhibition. Academicians, researchers, and experts from leading low-altitude flight enterprises, the CAAC Airworthiness Certification Center, the CAAC Air Traffic Management Bureau, and aviation research institutes and universities, also shared insights in cutting-edge technologies at some forums.

It has been announced at the exhibition that Pingshan will unveil its industry plans and policies for the low-altitude economy and the aerospace sector, focusing on communication, navigation, remote sensing, and core components. The district aims to attract and nurture R&D and manufacturing enterprises, promoting the construction of over 40 low-altitude takeoff and landing facilities, such as helipads, logistics hubs, delivery points in commercial areas, and medical delivery sites, continuously developing new low-altitude application scenarios.

Additionally, Pingshan will partner with universities, including Northwestern Polytechnical University and Shenzhen Technology University, to establish innovative research centers, commercializing technological achievements and fostering the industrial ecosystem. This effort seeks to co-build and share results of industrial integration and innovation, promoting the high-quality development of the low-altitude economy in Pingshan.
