Stepping off the plane in Shenzhen, I was hit by a wave of energy. Just a few days into my adventure here, I'm already captivated. This city is a whirlwind of progress and excitement!

Shenzhen's journey from a humble fishing village to a global powerhouse is truly remarkable. It's a testament to the vision and drive of its people. Towering skyscrapers pierce the sky, the streets bustle with activity, and there's a palpable sense of innovation everywhere.

But Shenzhen's transformation is more than just statistics; it's a story of the human spirit. The city pulses with a vibrant energy that's infectious. As I explore its diverse neighbourhoods, I'm blown away by the food! Every corner offers a new culinary adventure, reflecting the melting pot of cultures that call Shenzhen home.

And it's not all urban hustle and bustle. Just beyond the city limits, breathtaking natural beauty awaits. Serene coastlines offer moments of tranquility, while lush green hills beckon hikers like me to explore their hidden trails. Shenzhen seamlessly blends progress with preservation, creating a unique charm.

As I begin my life as a doctoral student at Shenzhen University, I look forward to witnessing the rapid development of this city. Having worked in public policy as an advisor to the Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, I find Shenzhen's journey particularly instructive on how we can get our creative juices flowing. I see a lot of good things, especially for young economies like Pakistan. I am proud to be the first PhD student from Balochistan Province here at Shenzhen University’s College of Media and Communication , and I am committed to transferring knowledge and wisdom back home for my nation, a community with new hopes. ........
