The six hospitals are: Southern Medical University Shenzhen Hospital, Luohu District People's Hospital, Bao'an District Maternal and Child Health Hospital, Shenzhen New Frontier United Family Hospital, Shenzhen Heng Sheng Hospital, and Peking University Shenzhen Hospital.
The “Hong Kong and Macao Medicine and Equipment Connect” policy was launched in September 2020, and is being implemented in Shenzhen and eight other mainland cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. These designated institutions can import urgently needed medical devices and drugs from Hong Kong and Macao without requiring foreign manufacturers of related medical devices to submit proof documents to the national medical regulations authority.
With the addition of these six hospitals, Shenzhen now has a total of 10 medical institutions approved for this program, including four previously approved hospitals: The Hong Kong University Shenzhen Hospital, Shenzhen Qianhai Shekou Free Trade Zone Hospital, Shenzhen Hyzen Hospital, and C-MER (Shenzhen) Dennis Lam Eye Hospital.
