A charity festival was held at the Guiyuan Sub-district International Block in Luohu District on September 28, aimed at inspiring residents to engage in public welfare and charity initiatives while helping to create a civilized, harmonious, and commercially prosperous international neighborhood.
This festival featured a variety of activities, including charity markets, themed exhibitions, parent-child hand-painting sessions, and showcases of the international block. The event is part of The MixC’s 20th anniversary celebrations, drawing numerous local residents and visitors from Hong Kong, Macao, and beyond.
At the charity market, various charity and volunteer teams showcased their handcrafted items and charitable goods. Residents had the chance to learn about different charity projects and support initiatives in education, care and advocacy, and nature conservation through donations, effectively conveying warmth and solidarity for these causes.

Additionally, interactive games were organized for attendees. Participants who played at the stalls received windmill blades, which could be assembled into a small windmill, symbolizing the ongoing nature of love and support. Merchants such as Yeppi Wild Beer and Ole also took part in the event, offering products for public welfare and donating a portion of their sales revenue to charity.
The international block display boards at the event captivated many attendees. A Hong Kong resident commented, “I truly feel that Guiyuan Sub-district is becoming increasingly international, not just in terms of the business environment, but also in its dining and entertainment options. There are many thoughtful facilities and services for overseas visitors, such as the quick tax-refund center in The MixC, which is incredibly convenient for us Hong Kongers.”
Guiyuan Sub-district is among the first international blocks in Shenzhen. In recent years, it has enhanced its services for international residents by establishing dedicated service windows for foreigners and workstations for those entering China. The district is also committed to promoting the integrated and innovative development of international culture, ethnic culture, and public welfare initiatives.
