

Base tests average of 18 drones daily

The Bao'an District UAV System Application Test Base (Yanluo) had welcomed 498 visits from UAV companies and industry-related enterprises in 119 batches since its opening in May, according to Bao'an Daily.
As of September 20, the base had tested an average of 18 drones per day, totaling 2,552 takeoffs and landings, with an accumulated testing time of 869 hours. Additionally, the base had provided 392 hours of training for UAV enterprises.

Located at No. 112, Yanshan Boulevard in Yanluo Subdistrict, the test base features two rotorcraft UAV takeoff and landing sites with a diameter of 20 meters, one rotorcraft takeoff and landing site with a diameter of 30 meters, a water UAV test site, and a comprehensive service center covering approximately 600 square meters.
Currently, 14 leading enterprises in the low-altitude field, including DJI and Shenzhen Meituan Low-altitude Logistics Technology, have conducted drone tests at the base.
On July 19, a cargo drone developed by Phoenix Wings, a subsidiary of the delivery giant SF Express, successfully completed a multi-aircraft fusion flight test at the site. The cargo drone, Ark 40, currently boasts the highest operation rate in the market.
According to the report, Bao’an Transportation Group is committed to supporting the district's development as a hub for the drone industry by providing both facilities and operation support for drone-related enterprises.
