This year’s National Day holiday witnessed a significant surge in consumption in Pingshan District, as indicated by data from various sectors.

Statistics reveal that during the seven-day holiday, foot traffic in the district’s five key shopping malls and department stores (Yitian Holiday World, Caring Plaza, Yuelin Space, and the Longping and Pingshan outlets of Rainbow Department Store) increased by 43% year on year, with sales up by 34% over the same period.

These five commercial complexes offered over 100 types of promotions in fashion, entertainment, dining, and trendy goods, attracting large crowds of visitors who were eager to shop. A local consumer surnamed Lu, who lives near Yitian Holiday World, remarked, “There were many activities in the shopping malls in Pingshan. Eating and playing there allowed me to relax, and many options were affordable.”

Favorable weather during the holiday reignited people's enthusiasm for outdoor leisure activities, leading to crowded tourist spots throughout Pingshan. Data indicates that 116 cultural and tourism events were held in the district during the holiday, serving tens of thousands of visitors. Numerous tourist sites, cultural venues, public libraries, and hotels offered various discounts.

Hotel accommodations in Pingshan saw a year-on-year increase of 13.57%. Maluan Mountain Country Park alone welcomed a total of 182,900 visitors during the holiday, marking a 19.33% increase from the previous year. Sports venues in the district also experienced a surge in reservations, rising by 65.84% year on year.

Driven by the latest round of consumer goods trade-ins, Pingshan’s car market saw a notable increase in inquiries, viewings, and purchases during the holiday. At the Haodi car dealership in Yitian Holiday World, which features BYD's Dynasty series, sales staff were actively engaging with customers, providing detailed information about new energy vehicles. A salesman named Zhou noted that sales during the holiday doubled compared to previous weeks, with trade-ins accounting for 60% of transactions.

“Consumers at our dealership not only benefited from government subsidies but also from our store's special offers. I believe the car market in Pingshan will continue to thrive in the coming months,” he stated.

Thanks to recent favorable policies in Shenzhen and holiday promotions, Pingshan’s residential real estate market also experienced a surge in inquiries, viewings, and transactions during the holiday. A consumer surnamed Zhao shared, “The policies, particularly the lower mortgage interest rates and down payment ratios, are advantageous for property buyers, so I decided to purchase an apartment in Pingshan.”
