

Nanshan welcomes a new addition to its list of public companies

China Resources Beverage (Holdings) Co. Ltd., a manufacturer of packaged drinking water and ready-to-drink soft beverages, made its debut on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on Oct. 23.
This listing brought the total number of listed companies in Nanshan District to 215, further solidifying the district’s status as a business, high-tech, and industrial powerhouse.
The Nanshan-headquartered company has carved out a prominent place in China’s packaged drinking water and ready-to-drink soft beverage industries over its 40-year history. It stands as the nation’s second-largest packaged drinking water enterprise and the leading purified drinking water company.
The listing of China Resources Beverage in the capital market marked a milestone for the company, which has become the 18th listed entity under China Resources Group.
The global offering of 347,826,200 shares was priced at HK$14.5 (US$1.86) per share, raising approximately HK$4.9 billion. The funds raised will primarily be directed towards enhancing production capacity, expanding distribution channels, building the brand, researching and developing new products, digital transformation, and potential strategic investments and acquisitions, according to the company.
On its first day of trading, China Resources Beverage opened at HK$16.46, a robust 13% increase from the issue price.
