The legislation is designed to enhance monitoring of food safety and security within and around kindergartens, said Huang Haihua, spokesperson of the Legislative Affairs Commission of the National People’s Congress Standing Committee at a press conference Nov. 1.
According to Huang, the legislation proposes the establishment of a robust national framework for pre-school education to allivate the burden of family care cost and education. China plans to roll out incentives to promote private investment in the creation and distribution of educational products related to pre-school education.
Additionally, the legislation will strengthen protection of the legitimate rights and interests of pre-school children’s privacy information, improve the management of kindergarten faculty and staff management.
Under the new regulations, the authority will intensify monitoring of food safety and security around kindergartens. The legislation also encourages pre-school facilities to offer integrated care services. These proposed measures represent a significant stride towards ensuring the safety and welfare of children in educational environments, reflecting China’s dedication to cultivating a safe and nurturing atmosphere for early childhood education.
