Every year between November and April, Shenzheners are treated not only to the mesmerizing sight of migratory birds but also to the blossoming of the bougainvillea.
Up until Nov. 17, the annual Shenzhen Bougainvillea Show is being displayed at its main venue in Lianhua Hill Park in Futian, as well as in Bao’an’s Bougainvillea Valley Park and Pingshan District Central Park.
Visitors to Lianhua Hill Park can follow the main route from its southern gate to the hilltop, savoring the vibrant colors along the way. They can also admire the flowers at two designated areas in the southern Yuxiu Garden and the northern UpperHills lawn, with the total exhibition area covering 200,000 square meters.
For coffee enthusiasts, the park offers a chance to explore 85 coffee brands at a fair running through Nov. 24.
Over the past weekend, the park was transformed into an open concert hall at night, hosting five free shows at the Kite Plaza during the 10th edition of the Lianhuashan Glades Music Festival.
Here, Shenzhen Daily photographer Lin Jianping offers a glimpse of the stunning floral arrangements and charming coffee booths at the park.
