A bustling job fair in Pingshan District on Nov. 5 saw participation from 20 companies, including electric vehicle giant BYD, offering almost 1,000 job vacancies. The surge in recruitment activity is not limited to this event, as a significant number of manufacturing enterprises across the district have been actively posting job opportunities, fueling an uptick in recruitment efforts.
This fervent hiring spree mirrors the flourishing economic landscape of Pingshan. During the first three quarters of the year, the district witnessed a notable 10.2% increase in added value by "industrial enterprises above designated size" (those with annual operating revenue of at least 20 million yuan), coupled with a substantial 13.2% growth in their combined output.
This surge in production, driven by increased orders and expansion plans, has prompted companies to ramp up their workforce to support their development.

O-Net Technologies, a prominent provider of optical communication solutions based in Pingshan, recently found itself in urgent need of recruiting hundreds of workers to facilitate its production expansion and meet surging orders.
Upon reaching out for assistance, district authorities soon collaborated with technical schools in Guangdong and leveraged various social media platforms to disseminate recruitment information, resulting in the expedited recruitment of over 370 workers within a week.
The company's HR director surnamed Pang expressed gratitude for the government's swift response, noting, "Thanks to the proactive government support, what was originally a two-month recruitment plan was successfully accomplished within a single week."
Facilitating the recruitment process further, Pingshan's governmental departments have coordinated with subdistricts, having established job centers in all 24 communities within the district this year, providing a seamless platform for local companies to scout for talent within the neighborhood.
Addressing seasonal labor shortages, all the subdistricts have devised plans in advance and coordinated with neighboring areas to bolster the influx of labor. Job fairs hosted by subdistricts and enterprises have also played a pivotal role in attracting and securing new talent for various organizations.
Recently, a new energy equipment company in Pingshan had to release 110 workers due to production adjustments, the district authorities soon intervened by connecting these displaced workers with local job fairs and job centers. Within a remarkably short span of three days, the workers were successfully matched with employment opportunities in other companies, underscoring the district's commitment to facilitating efficient job placements and supporting the local workforce.
