Bao'an District will establish the nation's first drone smart logistics demonstration network in its Xin’an Subdistrict and develop a drone delivery community, as outlined in the district’s work plan, which aligns with the city’s high-quality construction plan for low-altitude infrastructure (2024 to 2026).
On November 5, the Shenzhen city government held a news conference to present the Shenzhen Low-Altitude Infrastructure High-Quality Construction Plan.
As part of the city’s construction strategy, Bao'an intends to design and create a new type of information-based, reusable low-altitude takeoff and landing field, select the initial batch of logistics low-altitude takeoff and landing sites at bus stations and within healthcare facilities, facilitate the establishment of takeoff and landing fields in all new projects funded by the government or State-owned enterprises, and encourage private investors to build these essential infrastructures.
According to the city’s plan, by 2026, Shenzhen aims to build over 1,200 low-altitude takeoff and landing sites for various low-altitude aircraft, including unmanned drones, air taxis, and logistics drones.
Looking ahead, Shenzhen plans to further enhance its infrastructure by adding more than 8,000 5G-A base stations and 500 synesthesia base stations in the next three years. Currently, Shenzhen has established 249 low-altitude takeoff and landing sites.
