

Hainan showcases winter tourism features in Shenzhen

At a promotional conference held in Shenzhen on Nov. 15, officials from the Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television, and Sports of Hainan Province highlighted the unique features of Hainan’s winter tourism to representatives from local travel agencies and media outlets.

Themed “All the Sun, All the Fun,” the event aims to attract more tourists from Shenzhen — a major source of visitors for Hainan due to the geographical proximity of the two locations — to the island. This initiative seeks to promote continued growth in tourism consumption in Hainan during the fourth quarter, while also advancing Hainan’s development as an international tourism consumption center.

Xu Mei, director of the Science, Education, and Youth Sports Department of the Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television, and Sports of Hainan Province, introduced that Hainan Island enjoys warm sunshine at 18 degrees north latitude and boasts a coastline of 1,944 kilometers. These unique natural conditions and tourism resources, combined with the excellent ecological environment, make Hainan a vibrant and appealing winter destination.
The Hainan tourism authority introduced eight major winter theme activities, including coastal vacation tours, health and wellness tours, rainforest explorations, circle-island self-driving tours, and performing arts and event tours, to cater to the diverse and personalized needs of winter travelers to Hainan.
Representatives from several of Hainan’s cities and counties, including Haikou, Sanya, and Changjiang, as well as various tourist attractions, presented their respective tourism resources and products, extending a warm invitation to the audience to visit Hainan and experience its charm firsthand.

The event also featured a lucky draw session, with several lucky attendees winning free flight tickets to Hainan, local specialties, and room vouchers provided by hotels in Hainan.
