Hi-tech fair closes with record 120B yuan in deals

The 26th China Hi-Tech Fair, recognized as the country's premier science and technology event, concluded Saturday with a record-breaking total of over 120 billion yuan (US$16.58 billion) in intended deals.

The event, held at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center in Bao'an District, drew nearly 5,000 prominent enterprises and international organizations from over 100 countries and regions, alongside more than 400,000 attendees.

During the fair, over 160 activities were hosted, and more than 4,300 new products and innovations were unveiled.

Additionally, over 3,000 financial and investment institutions, including Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Sequoia Capital, and Bain Capital, attended the fair to explore business opportunities on-site.

This year's event marked the first time the fair was held in Bao'an District.
