The scope of the national export port tax rebate policy has been expanded to cover the entire Shenzhen Port, including Xiaomo Port in the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone, effective from Dec. 1.

Previously, only goods exported through the Shenzhen Qianhai Bonded Port Area were eligible for the tax rebate policy.

Under this policy, domestic exporters can apply for export tax rebates immediately after their container goods for exporting have departed from the export port by waterway or railway, eliminating the need to wait for the goods to physically leave the departure port.

This streamlined process reduces the declaration period for export tax rebates for foreign trade enterprises by up to 15 days, significantly cutting the tax refund processing time by more than 50%. It is expected to enhance cash flow for exporting companies.

The expansion of the Shenzhen Port's eligibility for the tax rebate policy is expected to enhance the competitiveness of Shenzhen Port by attracting more foreign trade companies to utilize Shenzhen for their exports.

Five new inland export ports have been included in the tax rebate policy. They are Ganzhou International Land Port in Jiangxi Province, Zhuzhou Land Port in Hunan Province, Tuanjie Village Railway Container Center Station, Yuzui Railway Freight Station of Guoyuan Port International Logistics Hub, and Xiaonanya Railway Logistics Center in Chongqing.

In addition to the current 37 sea export ports, seven more are added: Shantou Port in Shantou City, Huadu Port and Nansha Port in Guangzhou City, Zhanjiang Port in Zhanjiang City, Jiangmen High-Tech Port in Jiangmen City, Qinzhou Port in Qinzhou City, and Yangpu Port in Danzhou City.
