The 26th China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) saw delegations from over 30 countries, regions, and international organizations participate in the event, showcasing their latest cutting-edge technological advancements. Among them was a delegation from Bavaria, Germany, which has participated in the fair for nearly 20 years. Representing the Bavarian economy and its companies, the delegation highlighted a blend of innovation and cooperation.
Discussing his thoughts on the event, Einmeier Bernd, CEO of ThinkTank Networks and one of the Bavarian representatives, stated, “It’s a perfect place because there are so many high-skilled people, engineers, and business people.” He also emphasized the significance of German-Chinese cooperation, saying, “It’s very important that we establish a bridge between the economy of Germany and the strong economy of China. I recommend all German companies come to the China Hi-Tech Fair because this is the real place where you can boost your business.”
This year, the delegation also included young entrepreneurs who presented their startup, Niagara Launcher, which is an Android app that allows users to effortlessly personalize their smartphone home screens. One of their goals in attending the fair was to introduce this clean, streamlined launcher to the Chinese market. Peter Huber, CEO and founder of Niagara Launcher, expressed his excitement, sharing, “It’s the first time in China, and we love it here!”
Dr. Manuel Hertel, a representative of the Bavarian government and deputy head of the Bavarian Chamber of Commerce's International Business Unit, spoke enthusiastically about Shenzhen’s development, noting, “We can see how the development of this amazing city is — from a really interesting city to a great, well-known city — and we are still proud to be part of Shenzhen!”
