As part of the city’s third batch of new construction projects for 2024, the first phase of Metro Line 27 stands out as a significant development in the city’s public transportation network.
Line 27’s first phase is part of the second batch of planned routes under the fifth phase of Shenzhen’s urban rail transit construction plan, which spans from 2023 to 2028.

This conventional line is set to serve the bustling areas of Nanshan Hi-Tech Park, Xili, and Longhua, stretching approximately 25 kilometers in length. The construction of this phase is expected to be completed by 2029.
The proposed route for line 27 begins in the Qianwan area and terminates at the Banxuegang area. Along its path, it will link several key locations, including Xili mega transport hub, X-Lake Sciensity, Shenzhen North Railway Station business center, and Banxuegang Science and Technology City.
The strategic importance of line 27 lies in its role supporting the expansion of Shenzhen’s urban core area and fostering the accelerated development of crucial areas ranging from Qianhai to Banxuegang.
By serving the commuting needs along the line and facilitating the distribution of passenger flow at the Xili and Shenzhen North railway transport hubs, it will significantly enhance travel convenience for the city’s residents and visitors.
