Autumn flower show

An autumn flower show showcasing chrysanthemums is currently taking place at Fairy Lake Botanical Garden. This weekend, the event will also feature concerts, poetry readings, and hanfu parades in its exhibition areas.

Secondhand book and clothing fair

Dejavu (多抓鱼), a popular online secondhand brand based in Beijing, has opened a pop-up store at Kaledo shopping mall in Nanshan District. Come and explore a delightful selection of Chinese and English secondhand books and clothing, as well as creatively remade products.

Golden Rooster Film Screening

A total of 13 films from various countries and regions will be shown during this year’s Golden Rooster Film Screening event at two MixC cinemas in the city. Six of the films will have their premiere in China.

Healing expo 

Over 200 brands are presenting their healing-related products at the 2nd Healing Expo, which features a wide range of items including instruments, food, clothing, and cultural creative products. Attendees can also attend a variety of performances, workshops, and exhibitions on-site.

MusicAeterna Orchestra

Conductor Teodor Currentzis, along with the MusicAeterna Orchestra from Russia, will perform classic works by Wagner, Mahler, Brahms, and Shostakovich in two evening concerts at the Shenzhen Concert Hall.

Opera concert

To commemorate the centenary of Puccini's death, Musica Viva from Hong Kong, in collaboration with members of the New World Chamber Players and two youth choirs from Hong Kong, will present an enchanting evening of melodies featuring classic works by the maestro.

East meets West on strings

Veteran violinist Yao Jue and the Hong Kong String Orchestra she founded will perform a concert, featuring a program of adapted Hong Kong pops alongside Western and Chinese pieces. Yao regularly performs alongside orchestras around the world and appears at music festivals. She plays on a 1713 Stradivarius violin.

Asian art exhibition

This weekend, over 100 artists from 10 Asian countries will showcase their artworks at the "Collective Portraits of Asia" exhibition. Additionally, two live creation performances will entertain visitors on both Saturday and Sunday on-site.

‘Journey to the East’

Ole Bouman, a professor in the Department of Architecture at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University, is showcasing his cycling journey from Amsterdam to Shanghai through an exhibition. This event provides a unique perspective on the “Belt and Road Initiative.”
