In honor of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Longhua Sports and Cultural Center hosted a vibrant and inspiring wheelchair triathlon challenge Dec. 3. More than 100 athletes with disabilities, representing 40 teams from across the country, competed in three exciting events: the Wheelchair Relay Race, the Paralympic Challenge, and the Wheelchair Obstacle Course.

The triathlon featured three distinct challenges. The Wheelchair Relay Race was a fast-paced, competitive event where teams of three raced 400 meters each, passing a baton at the start line to complete the challenge. Meanwhile, the Paralympic Challenge and Wheelchair Obstacle Course brought a sense of playfulness to the competition, encouraging athletes to embrace the spirit of adventure.

Follow Shenzhen Daily reporter Liu Xudong and experience the excitement and energy of the games.
